Proud to support the next generation through the events that shape them.
To say we’re a little bit lost for words today, would be an understatement!!
Sienna & Armani “Gunnin For Chics” are the Kilkivan Show & Campdraft Association Gympie Saddleworld & Country Round One Stockmans Challenge Juvenile Champions!!
Placing 3rd in the wet work today.
Not only that, but they also placed 3rd overall in the Rookie!!
Armani stepped into that camp this morning & said “hold my beer”.
This horse had never worked a cow in his life, until 4 weeks ago.
No training. Nothing. Nada.
His first introduction to Cattle was tailing some weaners with Sienna 4 weeks ago. And 2 camp cut outs since. That’s it.
His first utility pattern was 3 weeks ago.
On top of that, this weekend was also Sienna’s first real Stockmans Challenge under ASCA rules. Very different to ag show challenges!
(Gosh I’ve missed my beloved Challenge world. It’s been too many years away! It’s like coming home after a to long holiday
)
)Beyond grateful to those that made this very cool team possible. Leonie, Allan, Tim, Chris & Mel.
I should have known the second I seen her calling me over with that massive grin on her face after her first ride, that these two were destined to find each other!
I don’t think any of us were expecting anything like this, so soon though.
And it goes without saying, but a big thank you to the committee, sponsors, cattle donors, judges & all those behind the scenes that make weekends like this possible.
Such a well run event. A credit to all!!
