EQUIVENT ND is a complementary feed for horses. It is a unique combination of 5 essential oils which can assist in the maintenance of normal breathing and lung function, as well as Licorice Root Extract which has demulcent properties and will help maintain the normal condition of the mucus membranes of the respiratory tract.

Instructions for Proper Use:

EQUIVENT ND should be added to the normal feed ration.

All horses: Feed 60ml twice daily for 7 consecutive days. If your horse has a known issue that has been vetted, you can continue to remain on this program if necessary, or you can reduce to 60ml once per day but increase to the normal twice per day in the run up to an event, competition, race.  If your horse appears to still be struggling after the 7 day course, and you haven't previously had a vet to examine, then it would be advisable to contact your vet.

Yearlings & ponys: Feed 30ml twice daily for 7 consecutive days.

Properties of essential oils

  1. Pinus sylvestris L.– Pine Oil is rich in monoterpenes – a class of hydrocarbon molecules that have multifactorial benefits such as mucus expelling.
  2. Pimpinella Anisum– Aniseed Oil is an essential oil well known for its mucus expelling effects.
  3. Eucalyptus globulus– Eucalyptus Oil. The main components of Eucalyptus Oil are eucalyptol and alpha-terpineol, it acts as an oil that clears the airways and promotes clear breathing. It is an emollient for the respiratory system.
  4. Rosmarinus officinalis – Rosemary Oil. Is an essential oil with strong antioxidant properties and assists in supporting healthy respiratory function.
  5. Thymus vulgaris L– Thyme Oil is a powerful antioxidant which supports a healthy respiratory and immune system.

Properties of Licorice Root Extract (Glycyrrhizza glabra L.)
Glycyrrhizin stimulates tracheal mucous secretions, making it an effective demulcent.

Properties of Potassium Iodide
Potassium Iodide works by thinning mucus in the lungs so that they can be more easily expelled.

To ensure the health and well-being of your animals, we have a strict policy of no returns on vet products due to these uncontrollable factors. 2.1 (c) Return Authorisation:

If you need to return goods to us, please contact us by phone or email to obtain a returns authorisation within thirty (30) days of receipt of your product. Please note that we do not accept returns after this 30-day period.

2.3 Shipping Costs

Please note that unless the item is deemed faulty, shipping costs are non-refundable. We will cover the cost of return shipping only if the item is found to be faulty. For all other returns, the cost of return shipping will be the responsibility of the customer.

We appreciate your understanding as we strive to provide the best service while managing shipping costs effectively.

2.4 Any products purchased cannot be returned, exchanged, or replaced simply because you have changed your mind.

2.5 Our returns policy conforms with the regulations of the Office of Consumer Affairs Queensland.

2.6 Goods damaged in transit or due to faulty manufacture, subject to clause 13.6 should be returned for our inspection.

2.7 Replacement goods cannot be sent until we have received the returned goods.

2.8 We will refund any postage costs incurred in returning faulty goods.

2.9 Subject to clause 13.6 we will gladly refund your purchase if the goods supplied are faulty and we are unable to repair or find a replacement.

2.10 Any refund we provide will be made using the same payment method as used to purchase the goods.

3. Exchange of products

3.1 Gympie Saddleworld & Country Clothing will only accept goods for exchange when the goods are returned in unused condition with all tags and labels attached. The customer is responsible for the postage costs both ways if the product chosen needs to be exchanged. 

3.2 All exchanges will be charged at the usual postage rate when returned to you.

3.3 We do not accept any responsibility for goods lost in return transit.
